Limit Switches - Safety Switches
Limit Switches are electro-mechanical devices that consist of an actuator which is mechanically linked to a set of contacts. Devices will operate the contacts to make or break an electrical connection when an object comes into contact with the actuator of Limit Switches. Due to their ruggedness, simple visible operation, ease of installation and reliability of operation, Limit Switches are used in a variety of applications and environments.
Designed for residential and commercial applications, General duty safety switches are used where economy is a prime consideration. Appliances, air conditioning and lighting are the usual loads for Safety Switches. Over-current and short circuit protection is available when safety switches are equipped with fuses. When safety switches are equipped with a factory-installed neutral assembly or a field-installed equipment grounding kit safety switches are suitable as service equipment.
